KIRKLAND

What a sweetheart Kirkland is. Visiting with him was such a joy as he clearly is just looking to be loved. Hes an energetic (and big!) young pup. Being that hes just over a year and already of a grand size considering the Great Dane in him, he likely wouldnt be a good fit for a first time dog owner. Hes also quite the escape artist based on his last owners notes and therefore, would require a home with high fences/walls and an experienced owner of large dogs. He may very well not have had the exercise he needs which may have contributed to his tendency to want to escape. This big boy would more than likely love long hikes and the ability to run and play, as most dogs really thrive with generous amounts of physical and mental stimulation. Hes been outstanding on a leash, non-reactive to the chaotic sounds of shelter life and adores loving up to the humans around him.
