Animal Profile: Klein is an estimated 12-month-old 60 lb mixed breed (Texas brown dog, we call them!) joining us from rural Texas, where he and his brothers were abandoned as adolescent pups. Klein is a goofy, social and friendly -- with people and dogs -- young boy who is about done growing at 60 lbs. He has a naturally docked tail and a beautiful face. Our rescue partner reports that Klein meets other dogs appropriately on and off leash, was neutral / ignored cats for his shelter evaluation, and is quiet in his kennel. His transporter has shared that he has not had any accidents in his crate and has been a wonderful passenger for his cross-country transport. We will share more info as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Update: Klein is a sweet boy who wags his entire body when he's excited! He is young and playful and loves meeting new people and other dogs. He enjoys playing fetch, engaging with toys, and snuggling with his humans. He is still learning to control his paws and body, so we think he will do best in a home without young children to avoid unintentional knock downs. He is friendly with other dogs and would do well in a home with another playful dog or as an only dog with an active family. Klein is a loving, energetic dog who is looking for an active family to continue his training and enjoy all the activities the PNW has to offer. Adoption Info: Klein's adoption fee is $550. This includes his neuter, vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip with life time registration, and recent visit with a veterinarian. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Klein was pulled from a rural high kill shelter in TX by our shelter partner Saving Shelter Strays and transported to Seattle via ground transport arriving 2/15/25. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle once evaluated in foster care.
