My Story

Meet Kobe, an 9-year-old, medium-sized boy whose gorgeous red and white coat and supersmarts indicate he's part Red Heeler. This breed is known for their work ethic and loyalty, and Kobe is no exception. Though he's a senior dog, Kobe has plenty of pep in his step and enjoys chasing tennis balls in our play yards! More than anything, he loves the company of people and is great at checking in with his handler with a soft touch of his nose or a furry kiss. Kobe is treat-motivated and loves to show off his skills, especially offering his paw for a shake. When Santa Claus stopped by the shelter to bring our dogs some presents, Kobe was thrilled to perch on his lap and be told that he is SUCH a good boy! Santa says that Kobe is one of the best dogs in the whole shelter, and any family would be lucky to have him! Kobe's adoption fee is $50. He has been neutered, microchipped, has age-appropriate vaccinations! Come in and meet him today. Santa Fe Animal Shelter is proud to partner with GoodPup! Dogs learn best in familiar, comfortable environments with few distractions, so GoodPup training happens at home. Short, focused sessions allow your dog to concentrate and guided daily practice quickly cements new skills. Meet with a top-rated, expert dog trainer each week, on 1-1 video calls, while learning essential skills that solve any unwanted dog behavior. Best of all, anyone who adopts a dog from us will receive 1 FREE week of dog training, plus 10% off for life on future activity. In addition, GoodPup will donate to the SFAS!
