My Story

Koda (A137396) is a 3-year-old AK Husky who weighed 67.7 pounds on intake! 02/03/25 This happy boy is Koda! Koda was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own but because his family was moving abruptly and sadly could not bring him with. Koda was said to be as sweet as can be but does have a stubborn streak as well. He was said to generally mind well and knows a variety of commands like sit, stay, shake, and laydown. Bonus point is he is very food motivated! Koda was also stated to be housebroken and will Yotel when he needs to go outside (such a husky)! In his past home he was stated to great with people of all ages including babies and children but does need to have them respect his boundaries! He was said to love women especially! Koda previously lived with another dog and two cats and was said to great with them! Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any and all new potential friends. His prior owner also noted that he is not a fan of nail trims. We encourage his next owner to reach out to their vet or a groomer on ways to help him feel more comfortable with this. If you are interested in meeting Koda, please let us know!
