My Story

I'm Kodiak from the bear litter. I love playing with my foster siblings even the cat!! I'm doing great on potty training. I sleep in my crate at night and do pretty well. I have learned sit and quick learner on other commands. Precious litter of lab puppies found living under a home. Mom was not to be found, and the young pups were finding their way out for food and safety. Adopting puppies is exciting and can be one of the most loving experiences. Puppies are young and cute, they are energetic, eager to learn, eager to please, happy, and exuberant. But it requires a significant commitment by their humans. While training puppies you need time, patience, consistency, routine and lots of love. Providing these essential elements helps them grow into well-adjusted, happy, and healthy furever companions. While we don't want to discourage anyone from adopting a puppy and want to continue to save more, we want the ones adopted to be successful in their homes. We have a large amount of resources available to help families navigate their lives with a new puppy. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
