I may be a senior, but I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step—whether it’s playing a bit or just chilling like the distinguished gentleman I am. Let’s talk credentials: I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and the only thing I’ve ever destroyed is the occasional stuffie (hey, it had it coming). I get along with other dogs, but if they get all up in my business, I might give them a little “Excuse me, sir, personal space?” attitude. Respectable boundaries, you know? But here’s the real kicker—I’m the ultimate cuddle pro. Whether you need a couch buddy for movie nights, a warm pillow for lazy Sundays, or just someone to remind you daily that you’re the best human ever, I’m your guy. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2025 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $400 Dogs over 12 months - $300 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
