My Story

Kylie is an adaptable collie mix perfect for any family. She is spayed, approximately 3 years of age, UTD on her shots, house-trained and quiet as a mouse in the crate. She is also both kid-friendly and dog-friendly. Kylie gets along very well with men, is a soul sister to women, and lives with and loves an 11-year-old boy that she's gentle with and flips over for for belly scratches. She is a gentle girl with other dogs, as well. No food aggression, no toy aggression. She loves to play hard, but knows when to back off. She has been curious about cats and a little in their face, but nothing that was a red flag. She backed off after a correction. Regarding her energy level in the house, Kylie loves to play with the other dogs. Her foster mum works from home, though, and Kylie truly has learned that she keeps to her desk and goes full on to potato zone. She’s a sleepy girl who, when you’re ready to go outside and play or go for a walk, she’s ready to meet your energy level. She could settle without daily walks, but you can see how much joy they bring to her day. She sleeps harder too when she has a good walk. She LOVES playing outside with her doggo friends and with her people. If you throw toys, she’s ready to catch! Kylie did great in the car the few times she went, but her foster family definitely thinks she needs to have a leash seatbelt on because she just wants to be in your lap. She loves snuggling on the couch, playing catch outside with stuffies, playing with rope toys, and Benebones. Kylie is still actively working on leash-training. She doesn’t pull, but she also likes to be a little tornado around you. She did not do well on a harness, but did great on a collar that tightens. Her nose wants her to explore, but with some training, she’ll be perfect in no time. Kylie's foster parents sing her praises as the most gentle dog they've had. They report that she’s been such a dream the entire time. She did so great adjusting to their pack and learning their routine. She’s been thriving and enjoying the quietness in their house. Although they do daily walks and playtime outside, they are not a very active family, but can totally see Kylie enjoying a hike and adventuring next to her best friend. She’s a soft girl — she gives gentle kisses on the nose, she flips right over for belly rubs, and she pauses and lays down when you are cooking dinner or working at the computer. They cannot wait to see her enjoying life with her forever home. **To adopt Kylie, please apply on our website: www.strongpawsrescue.org**
