My Story
Kylo is our sweet and gentle 4-year-old, 11-pound male miniature poodle, rescued from a puppy mill in Busan, Korea, that we helped shut down last October. Since his rescue, Kylo has been resting and recovering at a foster family’s home in Korea, where he has made remarkable progress after enduring horrific abuse since birth.
His foster family reports that Kylo was initially skittish and scared, but he has gradually opened up to them, including their children. Despite having only been in their care for a little over two months, he has already become affectionate and loving. The one-on-one attention he receives has clearly helped boost his confidence.
Kylo is quickly learning what life in a family is like. He now enjoys walking around the city, though he remains a bit wary of loud noises, likely due to his traumatic past. Thankfully, the reassurance of his foster mom continues to put him at ease. He gets along well with polite dogs but feels nervous around highly energetic, overstimulated dogs. We think of him as an introvert who enjoys socializing but also appreciates quiet time at home. His eyes are full of love, and we’re determined to find him a family who will surround him with affection and provide the forever home he deserves.

We are currently seeking a potential foster-to-adopt family for Kylo, as we are experiencing a foster shortage in our area. Kylo is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to become your loyal companion!
We believe people who adopt rescue animals are those willing to accept imperfection, embrace their unique stories, and dedicate time and love to training and caring for them, regardless of past trauma. Though challenging at times, the rewards are immeasurable. We’ve witnessed incredible transformations in our adopted dogs, and it is our mission to offer every rescued animal the same opportunity. There is nothing more heartwarming than seeing photos of our dogs smiling in their forever homes, and we can’t wait to find Kylo a family who will give him the same happiness.

You can MEET our adoptable dog(s) upon request after your application is reviewed. We will be conducting an interview either via phone or in person, and you will have to provide photos of your home inside and outside!
*NOTE* We have a 30-mile radius limit from Fairfax, VA for adoption. We require a completed application & home check via Zoom or by photographs to finalize adoption. An adoption fee of $650 applies. All dogs are spay/neutered and have all shots prior to adoption. Thank you!
