Layla is a one of kind beautiful German Shepherd. She was saved from the euthanasia list at Apple Valley due to space only. She was very shy and didn't do well with strangers she would cry out loud..very heart breaking. She finally made it to safety at a 35 acre farm where she learned some leash training and decompressed. She then started out on a long journey from California to Florida and during transport, she escaped the car and was missing for three days! A professional non profit crew found and caught her and kept her until our rescue could go and get her from Arizona. The founder of the rescue flew to AZ and drove her back the 2200 miles! She has been doing great with three other dogs, playing, learning commands like sit, stay. She is very friendly and non reactive to people now and not scared anymore, and non reactive to most dogs. She walks like a dream on the leash right by your side. She is a loyal dog, and has shown some signs of wanting to protect her premises by barking, but will ceased when asked. She is obedient, and is willing to learn. She needs a home where she will have a yard, and possibly other dogs to play with. She will do well with some more training as she is a young dog. She is only around 1 years of age. She is still nervous around very busy places...she needs slow introductions to new things.
