Hi, my name is Levi! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Silly, playful, wiggle-worm
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history - recommending 12+ due to jumpiness! Up to counselor's discretion.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history - slow and SUPERVISED introductions always recommended.
-Can Live with Dogs: We are still evaluating Levi to see how he does with other dogs here at the shelter. Ask staff if you'd like to know more!
-Can do Apartment Living: No
-Potty Trained: Appears to be
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required, but highly encouraged!
-Energy Level: High!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, neuter/MC
Meet Levi - an older pup looking for a dedicated home to invest in his future! This guy is an absolute wiggle worm and never stops moving. He's active, silly, and loves to be around his people. When he's not joining you on whatever adventure is next, he'd love to be laying next to you on the couch enjoying a frozen kong! It's clear that this guy has a lot of love to give, but hasn't had a stable routine to set him up for success. He's greatly benefit from some positive reinforcement training where he can work on his basic manners. He tends to be an easily excitable guy and could work on things like not jumping up when greeting and keeping his paws off counters. He'd do best in a home that can work on crate training with him as he is still a puppy and is curious about anything and everything! If you think Levi sounds like the guy for you, please fill out an application.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
