Meet Levi! I dare you not to swoon over his dreamy soft brown eyes! This guy has a story to tell that will warm your whole heart. Levi was found by a good samaritan when he was about 7 weeks old in an orchard with his mom and two brothers. They were taken to the shelter and a calpaws volunteer went very quickly to assess them, only to find that they had all adopted out quickly! Levi was so scared. He had never been around humans before, as he was likely born in that orchard. His original adopter decided that he was not a good fit with her two small senior dogs and took to facebook to rehome him. Wouldnt ya know, that same calpaws volunteer saw his posting! Levi has been in foster with calpaws for about 10 days. In that time, with the help of the resident pack, he has bloomed into a happy and playful puppy! Levi would not do well living in a home with no other dogs. When he is scared or unsure, he looks to them for guidance. Levi is quickly becoming acclimated to human touch, even snuggling with his foster mom in bed at night. He is crate trained , but not a huge fan of it. This could be trauma from being seperated from his mom and siblings at the shelter. No doubt that a gentle touch and positive reinforcement will cure this fear. He easily crates for meal time and is about 90% house broken. This guy is oh-so-special and is looking for his forever family!
