My Story
Lewis is an exuberant 4-month-old dapple wire-haired miniature Dachshund with a personality as vibrant as his unique coat. This little bundle of joy is the epitome of companionship, ready to be your best friend with an abundance of love and loyalty. His playful nature shines through his endless enthusiasm for toys, which he adores chasing and tugging with boundless energy. Known for his adorable "squirmy butt" and playful antics, Lewis is always in motion, making every day an adventure full of wagging tails and joyful barks.
Though still a puppy, Lewis is exceptionally smart and eager to learn, making him an ideal candidate for some fun training sessions. His affectionate side comes out in his love for snuggles, as he delights in curling up close and soaking up all the cuddles he can get. With his charming personality and a heart full of affection, Lewis is sure to grow into a beloved member of any family, bringing endless joy and companionship along the way.
Thank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each dog adoption fee of $175 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.
Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:
Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.
A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver's license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.
Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)
Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.
The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit cards, or money orders.
* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.
