My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *This animal is a part of our "Seniors for Seniors" program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Meet Lil Girl but we call her Paris! Paris is the tiniest little sweetheart with short legs and the most adorable butt wiggle that will melt your heart. She's been by our side for every errand and appointment, happily hanging out in a bag over my shoulder. She also enjoys sitting with me at work, either on a pillow or in her kennel, just relaxing. When it's time to sleep, Paris is perfectly content in her kennel snuggled inside a sleeping bag, on a pillow, or curled up in your arms under the blankets. She LOVES cuddling and would happily spend the whole day on your lap. She even sits up on her back legs like a little meerkat-it's the cutest thing! Mealtime is another favorite for Paris-she adores hamburger and rice, along with smelly soft dog foods that resemble stew. She's also got a growing wardrobe and loves wearing outfits that fit just right. If they're too big, though, she'll find a way to wiggle out of them! Here's a cute video of Paris and another sweet video of her on leash in an adorable outfit! Like many small dogs, Paris takes some time to warm up to new people. She's shy at first and prefers to keep her distance, growling if approached too quickly. However, with slow introductions, she builds trust and becomes fiercely loyal. She's especially wary of small children, as their energy can be overwhelming for her. Paris is fantastic about holding it through the night and is always excited for her morning potty break. She doesn't pull much on the leash and is super happy to get outside. When you come home, be prepared for an excited little wiggle worm-she's overjoyed to see you! This sweet, cuddly, and loyal little girl is happiest by your side, whether she's running errands in her bag, sitting with you at work, or snuggled up for a nap. She's truly a tiny treasure! Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car - it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and rec ommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Lil Girl is from an Owner Surrender. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
