Lil Miss Tessi

Hi, my name is Tessi! I love attention and getting pets. I do well with dogs; however, my foster thinks I would also do well as an only dog too. I don't always like to share my humans. I have a preference for dogs my size, but I tolerate the 60 lb dog in my foster home. I do well with the teenagers who visit me as long as they take things slow and give me time to get to know them. My foster thinks I was crated a lot in my prior life, maybe a puppy mill. In the house, I like to be in my crate. When my humans are outside, I like to be outside with them. I can spend all day outside with them. I need a fenced yard to keep me safe as I can be scared of loud sounds and new things/people. I may accidentally pee a little when I get to a new home until I learn the routine and feel comfortable around the people. I don't like to go outside in the dark. My new owner should have patience and be committed to socializing me. I went to the groomer recently and she liked me. She said it just takes me awhile to warm up. However, my groomer had no other dogs in the salon. I like to go for walks, but get scared when I see new things/people. This continues to diminish as I get exposed to more things. I hope you will give me a chance, because I am a great dog!
