My Story

**Located in Olympia, WA. Lilo is a PERFECT family dog, fully toddler proof, unfazed by flying objects, kids climbing on top of her, loud noises and more! She’s an absolute lovebug too, to people and dogs alike. We love Lilo here at the rescue, and you will too! If you are looking for a dog that truly interacts with you and will melt with just a touch, let me introduce you to Lilo! She is the kind of dog that is going to greet you at the door with a big smile, a wagging tail, and is going to turn into a puddle of love at the sight of you! When you bend down to rub her belly she will thank you with the sweetest kisses that will make you forget about any trouble the world threw your way. She will adore you and expect nothing more than love and full belly. Fall in love with Lilo here: https://youtu.be/YR9xS6b82N8 Lilo is very good with kids from what we’ve seen! She absolutely loves them and acts comfortable with them. She hangs out, does not jump or nibble, acts like she’s always been a family dog! She will sneak in kisses for you or the kids if you’ll allow. She leans into you with hugs and cuddles. Kids like her because she’s not overbearing, she is respectful and affectionate with them. She’s a great ambassador for the breed. Lilo was the FAVORITE dog out of all the dogs that the kids met this week at the rescue. The first thing she did when she came out into the yard was went straight over to the kids and put her feet up on their chair to get closer eye level with them and just gave kisses and leaned into them for hugs. She loves belly rubs and really was focused on getting attention and love. She seems very comfortable around kids. Even when she got the zoomies for a whole 30 seconds she still did not jump on the kids. Breed and age are guesses in the rescue world but we believe Lilo is about 5 years old, she currently weighs 55lbs, and is likely some sort of pittie mix. That gorgeous blue brindle isn’t seen often in rescue and it is such a cool pattern. Lilo has been part of a family before and to no fault of her own she is looking to be welcomed into another. We introduced Lilo to a few dogs to get a gauge on her approach to new dogs and she was a friendly goof-ball! Ready to play, not overly pushy and knew when to take a break. She would be an easy fit if you already have a dog and are looking for a easy-going playmate. Her energy level is suited for a variety of dogs as she is mid level and matches play well. An ideal home for Lilo would include at least one adoring person but the more the merrier, she is friendly and understands how to work a room. A home with a yard would be great, room to zoom and sun-bathe, but thanks to her size and energy level, Lilo could be an apartment girlie. And although Lilo is friendly and great with dogs, cats are where we say no, she was too excited! When she met our resident cat her eagerness was not enjoyed by our cat and he ran away. If she is just looking to play a quick game of chase, I doubt any cat wants to play the way she does, so no feline-friends for Lilo. Lilo Love would do absolutely amazing in a home with kids. She has a very high tolerance for kids that are throwing toys and running around. A home with a toddlers is not a problem with her. As long as she's getting some belly rubs every once in a while. I think Lilo and her chatty, belly-loving, kiss-stealing makes her one of the best girls who brings sunshine to every room! She is ready to find her forever home and find her favorite spot for napping when the spot next to you isn’t available. Adopt Lilo and clear your camera roll to capture all the adventures, the convos, and those adoring eyes of hers. If you have any questions about Lilo or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 6 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
