My Story

From the foster: Lily turned 1 on July 1st and is a very well adjusted puppy. She goes to the dog park each day and plays with the other dogs, no problem. She is very loveable and listens really well although her puppy energy and curiosity still overrides even the best attempts at training. She lives with our 7 year old Frenchie and loves to play tug of war with him. She loves throwing around her size and weight but does it in the most playful way (flips!). She sleeps through the night and is potty trained. She can be destructive when she gets bored (normal puppy) so we give her plenty of chew toys. She'll take her stuffed animals and throw them up in the air and prance around, enjoying her own company. She's prime for a family with lots of time to spend with her, lots of yard for her to run, other dogs (preferably aged to keep up with her) and although she's been around kids at the park, I can't say that she won't get inadvertently mouthy (typical puppy) around young kids. We do have a rabbit at home that she sniffs but does not try and hurt so she's capable of learning appropriate behaviors. She has not been around cats but I bet she can learn to be. She is a large dog and should have a strong owner who is capable of managing her weight and size. She gets lots of stimulation at our home and my hope is that she'll go to a home where that continues.
