hi Liz! This pretty girl is a 6 year old beagle mix. She was surrendered to the local animal control by her family when the dogs at home were not getting along. She is 18 lbs. Liz is a beagle-mix beauty who’s blossoming with trust and love. Originally when at the shelter she was very much on the defense and scared - she was very scared of all the handling and changes. Day by day, though, she’s been gaining confidence and is now showing her sweet and social side to her volunteers. Liz walks wonderfully on a leash, with her nose leading the way, true to her beagle nature. She’s calm and unbothered by other dogs, even as they bark from their kennels. Liz is looking for a patient adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to fully come out of her shell. With a little love and understanding, she’s sure to become the perfect, loyal companion! She would need to meet any resident dogs but would also be happy to be an only dog. She will not be placed with cats.
