My Story

Meet Lizzie, a spunky and resilient 4-5 month old Boxer mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that won’t quit! Currently weighing in at 23 lbs, she’s on her way to becoming a medium sized bundle of joy. As a proud parvo survivor, Lizzie is ready to embrace life to the fullest and share her vibrant personality with her forever family! Lizzie is working hard on her house, kennel, and leash training, and she’s already showing how smart she is—she knows basic commands and even rings a bell at the door when it’s time for a potty break! This clever girl can also be entertained with something as simple as a carrot. She enjoys riding in the car, making her a great travel companion. Lizzie gets along well with dogs of all sizes but hasn’t been around cats or children just yet. She’ll need a home with a fenced yard (at least 4 feet) where she can run, play, and explore to her heart’s content. Apartments won’t be the right fit for her active lifestyle. Lizzie is a pup who craves attention and would love a family that can give her plenty of love and playtime as she grows! **As a reminder, puppies will need lots of time and attention during the first year. Before adopting me, please make sure that you have enough time, energy and commitment to devote to my training. Puppies need a lot of care, so everyone in your household should be on board and ready to help out** Lizzie's adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out* **Rescue One is unable to provide an exact prediction of how big or small your rescue puppy will become when full grown. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home. We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals!
