My Story

Loki is a 5 year old Husky mix looking for a new family. He can be very playful and docile, and gets along with other dogs. He is good with small children although he can be overbearing with his kisses. Loki has a terrible history with cats and does not want to live with any cats never ever again. At times, he can be possessive of bones or toys. He’s known to shred trash if given access. Loki knows many commands! He knows: "sit", "lay down/lay", "paw", "come", he somewhat knows "stay" (it’s something he’s been continuously working on), "okay" being his release word. His command words typically have a hand gesture to go along with them, it seems to help him understand what to do a little better. He also howls on command if you say, "Loki can I get an awoo?"/ or simply "awoo", as well as "Loki, what does a ghost say?" He has been clicker-trained and appreciates a refresher every once in a while to help re-establish good behaviors. He was crate-trained as a young dog but is not regularly crated now. Loki is up-to-date with vaccinations and not neutered. Please note: This animal is not part of our organization but has been posted as a courtesy to his current caretaker. If you are interested in giving Loki a new home, please contact Austin directly at 315-572-7570.
