My Story

Lola is a wonderful young puppy who is potty trained and is currently working on her obedience commands; sit, down, touch, leave it and here. She is very calm, quiet, gentle and often very lazy at times. She loves to play and loves dogs of all sizes and all ages. She is good around cats. Lola walks great on a leash. Lola can be shy initially, warms up quickly with adults and kids of all ages. She is affectionate, but at times still likes her own space. Lola has been kenneled trained and is very comfortable in her kennel. Lola is fully vaccinated and spayed. Lola was initially adopted to be trained as a service dog, however, Lola did not meet the requirements to become a service dog because she is not very food motivated, a little too lazy, making it more difficult to learn service skills. Believet dogs that are available for adoption have been released from our service dog program for a variety of reasons. Because of our organization’s mission (training highly skilled service dogs for disabled military veterans) we do not have an adoption fee. However, we use a lot of our resources adopting, vaccinating and training these dogs, and so do require a meaningful donation to our organization to help us fulfill our mission. If you are interested in Lola, the first step is to fill out our adoption application at: www.believet.org/adoptionapplication.
