My Story

WEST PALM BEACH, FL - PLEASE NOTE : Lori may only be adopted within the following counties: Palm Beach, Martin, Pt St Lucie, Indian River, Broward due to her special needs. Thank You! Lori is an 8 1/2 year old, 9lbs, Pomeranian. She is fully vetted, microchipped, recent dental, up to date on shots, parasite free, good on leash, in car, with other dogs. She is mostly peepee pad trained, however foster mom has trained Lori to walk on leash and go potty outside (not 100%). She loves the fresh air, sunshine and grass beneath her feet. November 2024, Lori had femoral head surgery after presenting discomfort in left hip. Released by surgeon, doing well and on the road to full recovery. Lori is in need of calm home, committed, nurturing retired or work at home owner(s) that will provide 100% unconditional love and proper care that she so deserves. Lori is a very sweet, affectionate girl who loves cuddles. She also loves to be with her person/people and will follow them everywhere. She gets “underfoot” therefore needs adopter(s) who are steady on their feet. Lori will require use of an X-Pen, peepee pads and instructions for the first couple of days if unable to keep an eye on her. Using an X-Pen with peepee pads limits her freedom until understanding who she is. This little girl is smart & so wants to please her person. Sadly, the day Lori was surrendered, her foster mom noticed that she was having difficulty hearing which was recent loss of hearing that could not be restored. Lori adjusted really well, and is able to lead a normal life with commitment & patience. Due to her hearing & some sight impairment, would do best as the only dog. She needs and requires a lot of attention. Lori is a companion dog for a person not another dog. She barks for attention and or to go outside. Unfortunately with another dog in the home, Lori’s barks may be ignored. Lori’s Backstory: She was rescued from an unethical breeder with 9 other Poms four years ago. Lori was adopted by a wonderful family, was truly loved by her mom and human siblings. Her feet barely touched the ground. She loved to be carried around, cuddled on couch next to her family and sleeping with them in bed. Please open your heart and home to this deserving little girl that has been through so much.
