Lovebug is more than worthy of her name- this girl is so affectionate, snuggly and sweet with all humans, shes perfectly dog friendly and cat tolerant, she IS love! Her foster mom says shes the all around perfect dog, and we couldnt agree more.
We think Lovebug is a lab, Pittie mix. Shes estimated to be around two years old, and weighs in around 36 pounds. She is a rescue so these are simply our best guesses.

Gentle is a great word to describe Lovebug. In all she does, shes considerate and careful. Meeting new dogs, Lovebug instantly plays the submissive role, laying on the ground to show that shes not a threat. Because of this, she gets along with every dog she meets. She met an opinionated husky and a not-so-playful shepherd here at the rescue and did wonderfully with both. Shes met all 6 of her foster moms dogs with no issue. She is fostered in a home with many kitties as well, and does perfectly with them. Here at the rescue we cat tested her to double check, and it was legitimately the best cat test Ive ever seen. She was respectful and polite, and once she caught onto our playful kitties vibe- it was all kisses and playtime from there. Its so ridiculously cute, you have to watch her video to see for yourself!
Lovebugs foster mom has lots of wonderful things to say about her. Lovebug has free rein of a very large yard, usually shell go run for a minute or two and then return back to her foster mom- did you see my zoomies, mom?! Shes a very trustworthy pup in all capacities. Her foster mom says shes good in her crate and doesnt tear anything up, and reports that shes fully potty trained. Shes also really good on leash and responds to direction well.
The cutest thing about Lovebug!? No matter whats going on, this girl wants to be connected to her humans. She checks in regularly on walks, during playtime with other pups shell run right up to you for a bellyrub break, she curls right up with you on the couch. Shes so affectionate, shell surely bring unlimited love into any home.
Lovebug also lives with a thirteen year old, and does really well with the family dog lifestyle. Shes so gentle, submissive and affectionate that we believe she would do well in a home with kids of any age.
As easy as they come, Lovebug would be a perfect first dog for a new dog owner. She would love to live in a roomy home with a big yard, but knowing her polite and friendly demeanor, she could live the apartment lifestyle too. Lovebug would be a perfect fit for any animal lovers home. Knowing that she likes to play with kitties, a dog-savvy cat would be the best feline-friend match for her. We are willing to test Lovebug with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescues hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
