My Story

Name: Luna Approximate breed: Lab mix Gender: Female Approximate age: 1 year Approximate weight: 60 lbs Vetted/Vaccinated: Up to date Spayed/Neutered: Yes Good with Children: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: No, play chases Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Ideal Family: Any Adoption Fee: $550 Luna was found as a stray, abandoned in a park, but was spared from euthanasia at an overfull shelter at the last moment and we are so happy to be able to help her with a second chance at life. She is potty & crate trained and knows some of the basic cues but could use some more guidance on leash walking. She's sweet, friendly, sociable, and loves affection. Luna is on the submissive side but loves other dogs. She's also very good around kids of all ages and fond of spending time with them, but sometimes thinks kid toys are dog toys, too, so they may wind up chewed or drooled on! She loves being a part of the family, being included, talked to, cuddled, and loved. She's also good about having time to herself and has no problem using her crate for a little private nap. She's going to make a great family member! Does Luna sound like the sweetie for you? Fill out an adoption application today! All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending. We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue, veterinary care, and transportation of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes. We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs. Ready to Adopt? The next step is to fill out our Adoption Application. A volunteer will contact you to review your application and see if your family might be the right match.
