Luna

A25749 Luna is a black and brown colored, approximately 5-year-old, 84-pound, spayed female, German Shepherd. She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 02-18-2025 due to the fact they can no longer afford to care for a pet. Luna is a friendly, but shy and timid girl here in the shelter. We think a lot of her shyness is due to this shelter environment and she is still trying to figure out why she is here. Our staff describes her as a sweet girl who loves affection and will nudge your hand when you stop petting her. She takes a minute to warm up to new people, but once she does, she is a loving, sweet girl. She was a little difficult to leash, because she was unsure, but well behaved during our walks. She has had some training and will "sit" upon command. The previous owner says she is house broken and has lived with other dogs and children, but not cats. She shows no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. We would recommend a home with no small children as she does not like rough handling or having her tail pulled. Older kids would be just fine though. Luna will be a loving companion in her new forever home.
