Looking at him now, you wouldn’t know it, but Major’s journey here hasn’t been easy. Rescued from the Dallas Shelter just in time, he was labeled as “difficult.” But when he came to us, this “challenging” dog was gentle as could be, taking treats so softly and giving the sweetest kisses. Today, Major is safe with his foster family in Oklahoma, and he’s blossomed. He’s about 70 pounds of pure, joyful energy—a mix of Chow spirit and maybe a touch of Golden Retriever or Lab playfulness. He loves everyone who comes to visit, men and women, and kids who can handle his size. Cats are a question mark for him though, as he’s got a playful urge to chase squirrels. He’s smart too, and does his best to be well-behaved. Major deserves a home where he’ll be seen for the wonderful, loving soul he truly is.
