Hi, my name is Mando! I am the happiest pup you could ever meet, and I never have had a bad day. There is so much to say about myself, I could go on forever, but I’ll try not to. I will start by saying, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, I am missing a foot. This actually doesn’t affect me at all, and I might even be just a little bit faster without the extra weight. I often drool at the thought of playing a game of fetch or tug-o-war…. seriously I love it and would play it in my sleep if I could. You would be shocked at how fast and agile I am, winning every game!
I try to be patient while searching for my person, but I’ve been waiting for over two years now…they promise someone will love me eventually though, they have to right? I know I may need a little more attention and exercise than your average dog, but that just means more bonding time for us. I thrive on a schedule and LOVE to perform tasks or any sort of command, after all I just want to make you happy. There must be someone out there that likes to hike, go on adventures, has a backyard or likes to pass the time by doing tricks!
I’m such a goody boy that I love everything with a heartbeat, people, dogs, AND cats! I get along great with all 8 dogs in my playgroup and even like to share my toys if it means they will play rope with me. The one thing I love the most is my people. I always develop a deep bond with the people that spend the most time with me, I love very easily. I will do anything to make you love me too! I already know how to sit, down, stay, come, free and I’m great on a leash. I will always be eager to learn more if that’s what will make you happy…alright it’s a fun for me to!
A note about adopting animals from the Houston, TX area: Based on statistics, animals from this area are ranked some of the most desperate in the US. Euthanasia rates are incredibly high for both puppies and adult dogs. While this dog is protected in our care, there are many others waiting for their opportunity to enter a program like this one and be given a second chance.

Available for adoption in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, & OH. Our dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. Our Adoption Coordinator will help to find the closest transport pick up location to you!
The adoption fee ranges for those being transported and is $75 for those being picked up at our Angleton Tx location. It covers the cost of transport and includes all vetting: DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, micro-chipping, a collar, and many years of laughs and love to come!

We have a team of dedicated animal care professionals that work day in and day out to bring every Little Hero out of their shell. From the moment they are accepted into our program we provide behavior & medical care to prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally training, and providing social enrichment. We provide socialization for our dogs through playgroups and one on one bonding time, where we will also work on their other skills such as leash training and basic commands. Our goal is to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts and just want someone to be understanding with them, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
