Every rescue dog or puppy comes with a story, as to how they ended up in a shelter, dumped alongside the road, left to fend for themselves when their owners move leaving them behind and most likely the worst scenario of all is from an animal abuse situation. In the case of Mark and his sister Mindy, sadly it was the latter. These two little nuggets along with their mother and several other yorkies were seized by animal control due to cruelty and neglect. At the time of the seizure all the animals including these precious babies were covered in fleas, full of worms, underweight and in poor physical condition. Each dog was immediately placed with experienced fosters where they received all necessary medical care needed and started their way to recovery. At that time, Mark and Mindy were only a few weeks old so it was imperative for them to be kept with their momma for several more weeks. They were the youngest to be taken and I am happy to report all the others have been adopted into wonderful forever homes. Mindy was just recently adopted! Now it is Mark's turn to find a family that will cherish him and give him a beautiful happy life.
Neither of the two have any memory of the deplorable conditions they were born into and are happy, joyful, fun loving fur babies. They have been blessed with abundant silky coats and sparkling chestnut brown eyes that twinkle all the time. Both are curious and excited to explore the world around them from the safety and comfort of a fenced in yard. Both are well rounded, good with other dogs (their size) and ready to steal your heart and become the center of your world.
Mark is currently 12 weeks old and weighs 3.8 lbs. We believe he is a yorkie/poodle mix and will most likely stay around the 10 lb range when grown.
Mark has been fully vetted and is enjoying time at his foster home with his sister Mindy, while waiting for her forever home. Mindy's adoption fee is $550.00.
