My Story

Meet Marley, a resilient and loving boy who embodies the spirit of survival! His story speaks to his strength; he was found in the rural areas of Arkansas, having endured a traumatic incident where he was shot in neck with the bullet existing his muzzle. Injured and in pain, Marley found the courage to approach people for help. After having surgery, he shows no lasting problems besides a cute snore when he sleeps. Marley is around two years old, weighs 50lb and our best guess is a Labrador and hound mix. He’s a smart boy with lots of character. His head tilts and brow wrinkles when’s he’s trying to understand something. Once you gain his trust, he becomes your best friend and the perfect snuggle buddy. He's a sensitive soul who will thrive in a quieter home. He does require a fenced-in yard and would love a playful dog - he loves nothing more than a good game of chase and a wrestle. Marley knows how to sit and shake and actively learning more tricks in his foster home. He’s crate and house trained. He would be fine in a home with older, calm children with dog experienced. He does need a home without cats or small dogs. If you are looking for a loyal snuggle buddy, who will brighten your life, Marley might be the perfect match.
