My Story

Meet the Super Squishy Marly! She is currently just over 15 pounds, is almost 4 months old, and we think she may be a Pittie/Catahoula Leopard mix, but with rescue its always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Marlys video here: Marly is simply marvelous and rates off our squish-ability charts! This gorgeous girl is everything you could want in a puppy dog! Waggy tail? Check. Big, beautiful eyes? Absolutely. Super soft plush coat and freckled belly? Yes and YES. Beautiful floppy ears? You betcha. This charming girl has it all! Luckily for everyone, Marly thrives on love and affection, and will try to return every kiss you give her, plus a few extra. Marlys cheerful personality and joyful attitude shines through and is absolutely contagious you will find she puts a smile on your face time and time again. If youre anything like us, you will squeal with delight when Marly rolls over and offers up her soft freckled belly for belly rubs, lol. Belly rubs are one of her favourite things to do too, so you will hear her tail thwacking happily to let you know that youre doing a good job and to keep it up. (Marly is super motivational that way she will support you in every affectionate endeavour.) Marly loves playing in the water and tug of war with her toys. Her favourite things are hugs, squishy kisses, and of course lots of treats! Marly is the only puppy in her litter to have a wide stripe of white down her forehead and muzzle, and we think her markings are so distinctive. She has tall white boots on each leg, and white on her chest and at the tip of her tail. Youll also notice an adorable white diamond on the back of her neck that reminds us of the jewel she is. But its the brown and tan brindle pattern on her head and sides that makes her entire appearance so striking Marly is sure to turn heads and start conversations. Like most puppies, Marly is treat-motivated and we believe she will be easy to train. Shes currently in a loving foster home with three of her siblings plus a few other larger dogs, so this jolly little lady is very well-socialized. She is well on her way with crate and potty training, so Marly is learning all the right things. Her foster mum says that Marly is the calmest of her litter and confirms that she is a lovable squishable teddy bear (and we couldnt agree more). Marly is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, she will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new adorable and squishy best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan Coupons for a fun visit to Petco Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
