Meet Marmaduke: The Goofy Social Butterfly
Marmaduke is a 3-year-old intact male (soon to be neutered) with a unique split nose that doesn’t impact his health or abilities. Due to some medical and financial issues, his loving mom needs to rehome him. She is working more, and Marmaduke is spending so much time in his kennel that he’s getting sores.
Marmaduke is a fantastic dog who gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids. However, because he doesn’t realize how big he is, he would do best in a home with children over 6 years old.
He is very smart and trainable, being housebroken, leash trained, crate trained, good in a car, and knowledgeable in basic obedience. Marmaduke does have a penchant for eating and chewing on paper products and will beg for food, though he’s not pushy about it.
Marmaduke has shown no aggression. He may give a warning growl if another dog approaches while he’s eating, but he has no issues with people. He is fairly high energy, very smart, but also super goofy. Described as “book smart with no common sense,” Marmaduke is excitable, especially when there are visitors, but he just wants to greet everyone. He’s not shy and is truly a social butterfly.
