From Mason's foster mom...
This little guy is going to make a wonderful dog for the right home! He is scared and timid but will warm up quickly. We just took him in as a foster 2 days ago and the difference is amazing already. He needs someone to give him a chance to learn what a loving home is like and what it is to be loved and in a safe place.
Day 1: He started off shaking and wouldn't come out of his crate, but within a few hours decided to see what it would be like to come out, although it was very scary for him, he did it. He doesn't really mind the other dog or the cat in the house but doesn't engage yet. Just not sure where he is right now. Has decided cuddling on the couch is very nice. But other than that, his crate is safe and just stays in there. Slept quietly in his crate all night.
Day 2: We have gone out in the big world and went on a walk; I think these things are all new to him. He enjoyed it and is not reactive to any other dogs or people. He is very curious about all the new smells around him. He walks very well but not to fast. He met some new people, let them come right up to him and he sniffed them which surprised me and sniffed and was curious with some small dogs. He is still nervous but is walking around the house now and following us around.
So far, no barking, not scared of lawn mower or loud sounds, ok with any dogs and cats. He is very easy going and easy!
This guy needs to learn to be a dog and to feel safe. Once he knows he is in a safe home and your dog he is going to really be wonderful! He needs to be given a chance. We will know more of his personality as we get to know him more!
