Meet Maverick!
Maverick is a stunning 7-8 month-old boy who already tips the scales at 65 lbs--and he's still growing! We haven't done a DNA test, but his fluffy coat and striking features suggest he might have some Bernese Mountain Dog in his mix.
This big, gentle pup started life as a stray, found behind a grocery store as a baby. His finder cared for him for a while, but as it became clear how large he was destined to be, she turned to a rural shelter outside of Memphis for help. Thankfully, Tipton County Paws & Claws took him in, and now he's on his way to New England to find his forever home!
Maverick is a sweet, sensitive soul. He can be slightly reserved until he gets to know the people he's with and then shows his calm but shy side, warming up with treats and gentle reassurance. He allows pets and watches attentively as his humans move around, though he's still working on building confidence, especially with taller people.
This gentle giant is looking for a patient and loving home where he can continue to blossom. With his gorgeous looks and tender heart, Maverick will grow into an amazing companion for the right family. Could that be you?
