Max

Max is a 3 year old Pomeranian mix. His initial years were difficult, living in a puppy mill, but he hasn't let that get him down. While he is still getting used to the good life, he has been an incredibly happy boy right from the start. Max is always happy to see you, and will offer his paw in exchange for pets. He is learning that cuddles are enjoyable, toys are for playing, and that other dogs can be friends. Though he enjoys treats, he is figuring out eating on a regular schedule. Max startles easily with loud noises and sudden movements, so his perfect home would include adults or older children who will be considerate of his fears. While housebroken, Max does mark occasionally; however, he wears belly bands with no problem. Max does pretty well walking on a leash, although will spook due to the aforementioned loud noises. Someone who either has a fenced yard or who will be patient and cautious while on walks is ideal. This fluffy boy is patient while being brushed, but would rather spend the time being pet. Stairs and new doors can still be scary, but he is learning to overcome this fear.
