The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more. Meet Maximus! Maximus is an approximately 1 year old domestic fruit bat (kidding!) This cute little guy enjoys going on walks and play fetch with tennis balls. He also loves treats and is a great candidate for positive reinforcement training! He lives and breathes for the tennis ball; whoever adopts this puggy little frog should have plenty of tennis balls on hand! The nice thing about Maximus is that, as much as he loves to play, he's also great at playing with his toys by himself. Maximus has special little slappity feet that are unique to his adorable stance; they certainly don't stop him from tearing up our corral chasing around his beloved tennis balls! Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information. ** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. (If you cannot see the animal's location, please view the pet's profile through our website: https://www.seattle.gov/animal-shelter/find-an-animal/adopt) From the Dog Kennels/Kennel Group I/Kennel Group Q (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 - 5 pm Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. No appointment needed! We are closed for adoptions on Monday, and all holidays. You can fill out a survey in advance and bring it with you: https://bit.ly/SASdogsurvey. From Foster Care (out of shelter): 1. Copy and paste the adoption survey link into a new tab on your browser: https://bit.ly/SASdogsurvey 2. Download and complete the dog survey. 3. Save the survey to your device with a new file name that includes your last name. Make sure it's filled in when opened again. 4. Put the name of the dog(s) in the Subject Line of a new email. Attach your survey, add any additional information you would like us to know, and send to [email protected].
