Maybelle

Meet Maybelle! Maybelle is a big beautiful girl looking for a home. She's estimated to be around 3 years old and a Cane Corso mix. She is currently 88lbs. Came to us at 68lbs. We expect her to be at full weight at 95-110lbs. Maybelle is sweet & affectionate. She had a rough start in life being used as a outside breeding dog, and as a result can be suspicious of men. Especially when they're wearing hats, hoodies, or carrying things like brooms. Someone who is willing to be patient and understanding is needed. Maybelle loves meandering sniff walks, she's great on a leash and ignores wildlife, cats and other dogs. Maybelle gets along with other dogs, has been in a home with cats without issue, and loves kids. Maybelle can be a food diva, but who doesn't love a girl who knows what she wants? Maybelle will easily go into a crate. She still wakes up at night to go potty 1x, however that's decreased drastically from when she came to us. I suspect as an outside chained dog, she was used to being up at night to keep herself and her pups safe. She's almost adapted to being awake during the day and asleep at night. Crating seems to help with it. Maybelle is good in the car, is starting to understand play, and toys and is a world-class snuggler. Maybelle has an adoption fee of $200. This includes her spay, heartworm testing, microchip, current on preventatives and deworming! She is accepting applications at sianimalrescue.org. We aren’t sure accepting applications prematurely.
