Hi, I'm McCoy! I'm about 5 years old and weigh 48 pounds. Do you like... Dogs? I appear to like other dogs, and may do best in a home with another respectful pup. Please bring all dogs in the home with you when you come to meet me! Cats? I'm a herding breed with an unknown history, I would likely make kitties pretty uncomfortable and should start in a home without small critters. Kids? I'm a really nervous boy with new folks, and would prefer a more mature household at this time. (Teens+) Anything else you'd like us to know, McCoy? I appear to have lived a pretty sheltered life prior to being brought to the shelter. I am looking for an experienced owner who will be patient with me as I navigate the great big world! I have limited leash skills and staff suspect I was more of a property dog. Once I warm up, I am very affectionate and want to please my people! I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!
