Merida

Meet Merida, a sweet 11-month-old Beagle weighing in at 20 pounds. She is shy at first, especially around men. As soon as she gets to know you, she is very loving and cuddly. Merida is playful and loves toys. She is happy to play with and share toys with another dog or by herself. Merida also loves to gather up all of her toys Merida’s journey hasn’t been easy. She and her littermate were purchased from a breeder, she had an accident on the floor at her new home on day three and was dumped at a shelter. Merida was terrified in the shelter, and they reached out for help. We got Merida into one of our foster homes. Merida has been at her foster home for a month and has really blossomed. She loves being praised and told she is a good girl. This is one Beagle that loves attention more than food. When you call her, she comes running to get some love. Merida requires a physically fenced yard so she can run and play safely. She is learning to walk on a leash but spooks easily. Merida is crate trained and house trained.
