My Story

Please contact Diane Pedulla ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.Sweet golden girl looking for someone to love MILDRED NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Mildred Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua - Terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 10 years as of 11/22/2024 SEX: female Approximate Weight: 7.5 lbs Gets Along With: other dogs; Mildred hasn't been observed with cats but we can test. Currently Living at: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride after recovering from heartworm treatment. Special adoption considerations: We would be cautious placing Mildred in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant. Mildred is Looking For: Think of a wise little lady who believes one must never give up. At 10 years old, Mildred thought she had settled into a cozy rhythm of life. She has a bit of a grizzled muzzle now and has lost her teeth but she still gets around. Mildred's ears still perk up with excitement and she is always hopeful that tomorrow will be a better day. This spirited senior probably enjoys shorter, gentle walks and lots of comfy spots to curl up in. She might be a bit less active than she used to be, preferring the warmth of a lap or a sunbeam. And, of course, she's likely full of affection and loyalty, ready to form a bond with gentle, caring humans. Could Mildred spend her golden years with you? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update once Mildred arrives and spends some time with a foster. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
