Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home My name is Millie. I am 3 years 10 months old and weigh 20 pounds. I need a new home because I was very jealous of the new baby in the house. I am being fostered in Des Moines, IA.   I require a home with no other pets or small children. I love “pup cups”, snacks and just hanging out with my humans. I love chasing tennis balls and will sometimes drop it when I bring it back to you. I love snuggling in soft blankets and playing with my toys. I’m very playful but will snuggle next to you on the couch when it’s time to slow down. I’m not a big fan of snow but can “do my business” in record time so I can get back inside where it is warm and dry. I am very smart and know several commands like sit and shake and wait. I do well in my crate if you have to be gone but can also be trusted to roam the house.   Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Yes Leash-trained? All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
