My name is Mingus. I am a fluffy 6-month-old Great Pyrenees-cross that is so happy I literally bounce around with joy. Not long ago a lovely couple stopped to feed me on the side of the road on the Navajo Nation, where I was dumped. The man fed me and gave me water (I was so skinny), then he very gently picked me up and put me in his wife’s lap. I was terrified, but she cuddled me and reassured me for the half-hour drive back to the teacher housing where they live. I am the luckiest guy, as I have three friendly doggy housemates that have helped me adjust. Everyday, we play in the backyard until I am exhausted, then I go inside where I have my own little space with blankets and a soft bed. I have already put on considerable weight. I have been neutered and have healed up well. I am told I am smart and have everything to learn but I already know sit, come and am getting used to walking on a leash.
