Minnie’s story is one of resilience, heartbreak, and an enduring hope for a brighter future. This young doodle mix, with what appears to be a blend of Old English Sheepdog and Poodle, has faced more loss and loneliness in her short life than any dog should ever endure. Two years ago, Minnie lost her primary human, the anchor of her world, and was left in a home with a dog she didn’t get along with. Without the companionship and care she craved, she spent her days waiting, her joy fading. When her other human also left her life, Minnie was abandoned for several weeks before she came to us.
Now, Minnie is on a journey of healing in a loving foster home. She’s learning how to be a dog again—rediscovering the simple pleasures of companionship, care, and comfort. Minnie adores people and has an unwavering desire to be by her human’s side, offering her love and loyalty to those who will take the time to earn her trust.
Due to her past experiences, Minnie is selective when it comes to other dogs. She would thrive as the only pet in a calm, supportive home where she can feel safe and cherished. Her new family will need to commit to her grooming needs, as her beautiful coat requires regular care to prevent skin issues. Minnie is also on a weight-loss journey, and she’ll need continued support to regain her health and vitality.
Housetrained and kennel-trained, Minnie is ready to find a forever home that will give her the love, patience, and understanding she desperately deserves. Her heart may have been broken, but it’s still full of love, waiting for the right person to help her heal and show her that her best days are yet to come. Minnie is ready to be someone’s devoted companion—could that be you?
