Mira

Animal Profile: Mira is an estimated 4-year-old 40 lb spayed female shepherd mix who was a stray intake to the overcrowded Riverside animal shelter and at risk for euthanasia due to spaced. She passed her temp test evaluations with dogs and people with flying colors and was a friendly girl to all her kennelmates. We will share more as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Update: Mira is the sweetest girl! She was very sad and nervous when she first arrived, but has made HUGE strides just in the first week she's been with us. She was cautious and unsure, needing time to feel safe. But with patience, love, and plenty of belly rubs, she has blossomed into the sweetest, most trusting companion who loves to be loved and to snuggle on the couch. We've had a few accidents but generally she knows she should go potty outside and she's taken to training super quickly! We've been working on sit, touch, shake, and lay down. She's spent the week with two other dogs, one 8 and one 1.5 years old, and she's done well. She gets a little grumbly when others try to snuggle the humans in the house, but she's been gaining trust with them as well over the course of the week. She has started to play with the two of them when they want to romp and even been snuggling with them! Mira would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can continue to grow in confidence. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate.
