Everything about Missy Mae can be best described as absolute perfection. She is an incredibly sweet and loving girl who wants to be everyones best friend! Missy is believed to be a pittie mix, approximately 9 months old, and currently weighs 47 lbs. She may still have a little growing to do, though we dont expect much more. Like all rescue dogs, her exact breed and age are a bit of a mystery, but one thing is certain: Missy will bring so much love and laughter into your life that youll wonder how you ever lived without her.
Missys personality is a perfectly balanced mix of playful and calm, making her the ultimate companion for all kinds of adventures. Whether its hiking new trails, exploring the neighborhood, or just curling up on the couch for a snuggle session, Missy is up for it all. Shes incredibly affectionate and shows her love in the sweetest, gentlest ways, making her an excellent companion for families with children. Shes been around kids aged 10 and up and is wonderfully gentle and loving toward them. Missy loves to give hugs, crawl into your lap for snuggles, and share the gentlest kisses.
Her dream home would have a backyard where she can romp around, play with her toys, soak up the sun, and occasionally get the zoomies out of her system. Missy is already crate and potty trained, walks well on a leash, and is treat-motivatedperfect for continued training. Ultimately, her greatest desire is to make her people happy and shower them with unconditional love.
Missy absolutely adores other dogs! Every dog she meets becomes her new best friend, and shes always ready to play and cheer them on. When she meets a dog she particularly likes, she does the cutest booty-scoot zooms while giving playful bowsits as adorable as it is hilarious! If you watch her video, youll see exactly what we mean. Missy is so gentle and encouraging that even the shyest dogs come out of their shells around her. Shes been such a good influence on other dogs that shes become our go-to assessment dog, welcoming new intakes and showing them the rescue is a fun, safe place to be. Pretty impressive, right?
Missy is excellent at matching the energy of other dogs, respecting their space, and knowing when its time to take a play break. Shes equally great with small dogs, even the occasional spicy ones. If a small dog gets grumpy, she simply backs off, ever the respectful and mindful playmate. Missy would thrive in a home with a moderately playful dog like herself, but shed also do wonderfully as your one-and-only, soaking up all your love and affection.
Overall, Missy Mae is a friendly, smart, and well-behaved pup with a heart as sweet as can be. Shes a brave, affectionate, and playful girl who loves to bring joy to everyone around her. We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!
The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescues hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
