Hi, my name is Molly! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Affectionate, snuggly, playful
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history. Older, respectful, dog-savvy kids likely best- recommending 12+ at this time.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history. Previous owner said Molly chases small animals (squirrels, rabbits) so she'd likely do best in a cat-free home or at least one with a confident, dog-savvy cat who won't run if chased.
-Can Live with Dogs: Molly is mostly indifferent to other dogs during playgroup at WHS and would likely prefer to be an only child in her new home. She might be able to live with another independent dog of similar energy level (mellow)-- everyone will need to meet at the shelter first to ensure they're a good match.
-Can do Apartment Living: Yes, with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Be sure to think longterm about your living arrangements and check with property management for any breed restrictions!
-Potty Trained: Yes
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, one private lesson.
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information: Molly is a sweet, affectionate velvet hippo on the lookout for her forever snuggle buddy. Molly loves squeaky toys (especially tennis balls!) and would enjoy a fenced yard where she can play fetch with her human all day long. Molly is fairly mellow and would do well with someone who enjoys long, leisurely strolls and weekend hikes in the mountains. We expect her to be a total bed-hog (if allowed, that is!) Molly would likely do well in most home environments.
