Thoughts from your shelter manager.. I started my truck at 6:45pm tonight and headed home, tired and sad about leaving all the pups at the shelter especially Molly (pictured below) who was recently returned to BCHS. But on the heels of the sadness came a thankfulness that our shelter has a policy that we will take back a BCHS pet at any point and for any reason the adopter is not able to keep it.. Sweet Molly was adopted as a 10 week old pup and now 5 months later finds herself homeless again. She is housetrained and will kennel very willingly when asked. She is one of the smartest dogs we have and deserves a family who will give her 110% and not give up on her. We were told she doesn’t like her nails trimmed and is nervous around men. My brother fostered her for a few days and she followed him everywhere and adored him! I trimmed her nails and I’ve been “holding paws” with her.. My brother said she learned after just a day to follow him off leash and would do anything he asked of her.. She loooves snow and playing with other dogs! She is shy around new people at first but warms up with treats pretty quickly and once she does is your best friend! And talk about the prettiest, shiniest hair ever!
