Hey, this is Mona, Blue Heeler - Australian Kelpie 40lb and 2 years old. Mona was abandoned by her owners on the side of the road, where she waited every day for them to come back for her... For many weeks. She was taken by animal control to a Texas kill shelter. Mona was pulled to our rescue group foster home program, to decompress and give her time so we can learn more about her personality. -House broken and potty trained. -Crate trained, and can self entertain. -Leash trained (but if something spooks her, she will flatten herself, or hide under a bush). -High treats motivated -Amazing with cats! -Dog friendly, but always scared at first. Quiet, clean and polite. -No separation anxiety. -She loves routine! -She will cuddle after awhile and even "clean you" sometimes. - She would like to follow you around like a little shadow of you let her. - Vocal when she plays with other dogs. - Good on a car ride, but she doesn't love it. -In a new environment, new people and new dogs, she will be scared and shaken. Kind Spirits is a nonprofit 501(c)3 Texas-based rescue group. We pull dogs from kill shelters, owners surrender, and street abandonments basin train and find them homes. .
