My Story
Our next transport date will be Friday/Saturday, February 21st and 22nd and the 28th and 1st. Please see below for pick-up locations.
We cannot do meet-and-greets with the puppies. The transport trip is hard and long, and it would be too long for a puppy to be in a vehicle if he had to return to Texas.
We do not take deposits. All adoption fees are paid in person at pick-up.
Mona Lisa is sweet and wants to be loved on, she is so excited once you get her in your lap, she loves attention and seems to be very smart. She is going to be a very loving family girl. She plays great with all of the other dogs, is generous with her toys and friendly to the cats. Beautiful girl and you just can't go wrong here.
She has seen a vet and is a healthy and happy girl. She will travel with three rounds of puppy vaccines.
Mona Lisa was dumped at the gates of the Antioch Ranch here in Cass County with a group of other puppies that we are not sure are her siblings. Antioch is a wildlife refuge, and they were left at the gate of the wildebeest and zebra enclosure where they would have surely been stomped to death if they had been discovered by the animals. All of the puppies were hungry, scared and cold when the ranch hands showed up that morning to feed and care for the other animals. We were quickly called to come and save them as they have no safe space for puppies there at the ranch.

There is always a high interest in our puppies, and applications are processed for approval as they are received when possible. Most of our puppies travel with two rounds of vaccines, sometimes three. Occasionally, we will not have had them long enough for the second round. Our puppies less than 6-8 months old will not be spayed or neutered, and the cost of out-of-state surgery is not included in our adoption fees. Spaying and neutering is an adoption contract requirement that it be done by the puppy's first birthday. This will be at the expense of the adopter.
Atlanta Texas Area Spay Neuter Project is a 501c3; proceeds go back to spaying and neutering dogs for low-income families in the Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana area and the care of puppies and dogs that we take in. If needed, we assist low-income families with emergency vet expenses for their current pets. All our dogs will be in foster care in Texas until they are adopted.
We cannot guarantee breed. We do our best based on the pup's and the mother's appearance if she is known to us. We rarely know the father of the puppies, and litters of puppies can have more than one father. In other words, the litter can be full of half-siblings with different fathers for the puppies.
