Mondo

Meet MONDO Mondo is such a stunning and incredibly handsome boy. According to the shelter paperwork, he is an Australian Shepherd mix (we think Husky may be part of the mix), who is approximately 5 years old and weighs about 55lbs. Do not let his age fool you! He is an active guy with puppy-like energy and playfulness. His pictures simply do not do him justice, as he is a stunning dog with a dark charcoal grey coat on top, and white on his belly. His legs are the typical merle dark grey and white! He is simply gorgeous, happy and sweet. Mondo is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is potty trained and crate trained. Mondo likes other dogs of all sizes and has shown to be very friendly with dogs, people and children. Due to his size, he might not be the best fit around toddlers, whom he might accidentally knock over while playing. Mondo is the complete package. He is a super happy guy, food motivated, and loves to be chased around the yard! He definitely is not a couch potato and would not be ideal for apartment living unless his new family is extremely active. He needs regular exercise whether it be walks, or hikes, or camping. He knows basic commands but is not yet off leash trained. Mondo is a very smart agile guy who will learn anything you want to teach him. He will thrive with any activity, such as agility training, dock jumping, hiking, camping, etc. Without proper exercise to challenge his body and mind, he could get bored and he might try to find his own excitement by visiting everyone in the neighborhood. Mondo rides very well in the car without anxiety, since he knows that car rides usually mean new adventures. In his ideal home he would do well as an only dog or with a dog buddy. Once playtime is over, Mondo does like to come in and chill on the couch for belly rubs, cuddles and to get some goodies while watching a movie with you. Mondo is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada.
