My Story

IN VERMONT Meet Moose! Moose is 2 1/2 years old, male (approx. DOB 1-14-22), 70 lbs., vetted, is or will be neutered, and micro-chipped. Moose is good with other dogs, has been good with cats (all cat/dog relationships are different), has medium energy, is a cuddle bug, and has so much character! In his current dynamics Moose is a loving boy who is goofy and loves to play. He plays fetch, goes for walks, and loves to wrestle with his dog brother. He has been introduced to cats and does fairly well. His only challenge is he likes to play chase with them. He is gentle leader trained, and generally great on the leash. He does become overstimulated around other dogs when on leash but is learning a down position. He is crate trained; and unfortunately has to spend too much time in it with a recent family split. His best home would be active, experienced, outdoorsy, as well as use puzzles and mats to hide snacks in for additional mental enrichment. Stay tuned for more information as Moose is a new rescue! If you are interested in adopting Moose please fill out an Application at www.Passion-4-Paws.org (please make sure you have the Vermont site not CT) - thanks! Please note Fosters have 1st option of Adoption. Check out his Facebook page (please "Like" us while you are there)! Disclosure: Breed labels are often incorrect: we rarely know the genetic lineage of the dogs we rescue. Many shelters and rescues specify breeds based on appearance; however, research has shown that less than 2% of a dog's DNA determines appearance! Passion 4 Paws does not practice the use of labels pertaining to compatibility with others or dog breed. Labels such as "dog friendly" and "child friendly" should be used with caution as they often over-simplify the personalities and behavior of dogs.
