My Story

Meet Moose, a fun-loving and independent male dog with a big heart and a playful spirit! Moose is an active and high-energy walker who enjoys exploring his surroundings, but he's also happy to entertain himself with some solo play. He's a social butterfly who loves attention and affection, and during his assessment, he soaked up all the love from staff members. While he enjoys being around people, Moose also appreciates his independence and can entertain himself when he's not the center of attention. Moose is treat-motivated, though he can be a bit picky with his snacks, so finding the right treat will be key to winning him over! He knows the command sit and is always eager to show off his skills. When it comes to other animals, Moose has shown some mild fear when meeting new dogs, so any introductions should be done slowly and with care to ensure everyone's comfort. We recommend a dog-to-dog meeting to make sure their playstyles align. Moose has been around cats before and was interested in playing with them, but the cats weren't fond of him. If living with cats, a very slow and gradual introduction over several weeks (not days) would be necessary to ensure a harmonious relationship. While we don't have any history with children, Moose's sweet and affectionate nature suggests he could potentially do well in a home with older kids who can give him space when needed. Moose is an active, playful, and loving dog who's ready to find a family that will appreciate both his social side and his independent nature. If you're looking for an energetic companion who enjoys playtime and affection in equal measure, Moose might just be the perfect fit for your home! Stop by and meet me at THS today!
